Colorado River Status tracks current storage levels across the Colorado River basin — from the headwaters in the Rockies to the Lower Basin reservoirs in the Southwest.
The stoplight map shows each major reservoir’s health at a glance: green (above median), yellow (below median), red (critically low), or gray (data not yet available). Colors are based on storage relative to historical percentiles, with overrides for critical elevations at key structures like Lake Mead and Lake Powell.
